We use experimental and computational techniques in fluid and solid mechanics to study bluff body wakes and fluid-structure interations with applications to bioinspired, offshore and wind engineering with emphasis in:
Flow-induced vibrations (FIV) and Fluid-Structure Interacions (FSI)
Fluid dynamics of swimming and flying
Bio-inspired design
Bluff body flows and vortex flows
Renewable energy harvesting
